Saris trends in Karnataka

 

Sari is the most traditional as well as most glamorous form in women’s outfit from ages.it signifies grace in Indian women also displays right curves in women’s body.  In India twenty nine states in total and every states has its own ethnic specialty in outfits for women. Talking about Karnataka, it has thirty district 270 towns and 29406 villages and everywhere sari is the topmost clothing in all.

Here is the list of saris collection mostly wear in this state:

-Mysore-silk-sarees

Mysore silk sari: silk it was originated in the reign of Tipu sultan revived and Mysore state has become topmost multivoltine silk producer in India. This silk is purest form of all silks, it attracts not only Indian as wells foreigners too. This silk is trademark of all silk series and produced by KSIC (Karnataka silk industries corporation)

Kanchipuram silk sari: it is one of the popular form in south Indian  mainly designed in kancheepuram region in state of Tamil Nadu thread used for the weaving is mulberry silk thread pure mulberry is used in making and zari comes from Gujarat to make this elegant sari. More about its designing  very different from Mysore silk wide and contrast border make this sari beautiful temple and broad  borders, checks, stripes and floral(butas) beautifies and exceptionally different from other saris.

kanjivaram silk saree

 

Kanjeevaram silk sari. It is most similar to kanchipuram silk as only some region it is called kanjivaram and somewhere it is called counjivaram.  Kanjivaram silk saris are famous for every south Indian bride’s trousseau. This heavy silk saris are categorized by gold shining borders are prevalent, especially in Tamil Nadu and South India. Divergence colors for pallu and borders are a trademark of most kanjivaram silks.

Ilkal sarees

Ilkal cotton sari:   it is also one of the popular saris of Karnataka ilkal sari itself taken from town ilkal. It is woven using cotton and pallu is made up from silk “TOPE TENI SERAGU” means thee solid portion of pallu in red color and between two portion of white is mixed. Also it has been regarded as state symbol which is mainly used for festive season.

Traditional borders: 1. Chikki, 2. Gomi, 3 zari, 4.Gadidadi are the individuality in ilkal saris of Karnataka.
